Can a normal person become a serious patient of diabetes within a month?

The range of glucose while fasting is 20.6 mmol/l. Whereas the normal range is 3.3-5.6 . If a person was within the normal range then can he have 20.6 after a single month? And how to take it back to the normal range?

my question is not really the one stated above. i want to say that i urinate alot, but when i went to the doctor he didn’t tell me i have diabetes, he told me my bloodsugar is 80 which is very health, my kidneys function very well, my cholesterol is 130. but am still having some question marks about me going to bathroom alot. what is the blood sugar level for a person with diabetes? can a person have diabetes and still has a health blood sugar lever?

How is Diabetes easier to control nowadays and what was a “normal” reading 25 years ago?

I’ve heard a ton of people say this. Is is because of insulins getting better? Please elaborate. Also, what was a normal, common blood sugar range around 25 years ago? I know it varies from person to person but I keep hearing how much easier diabetes is to control nowadays (and I can tell you it is! ) and I was just wondering how bad it really was years ago. Say you are a person who is diabetic and you consistently do not eat from 6am-6pm, but have breakfast before 6 am and dinner after 6 pm, would the skipping of meals ” hide” your high blood sugar levels when you do eat. In other words, would skipping meals bring the average glucose level lower than the “true” average?

Hi, my brother just went into hospital, and has a 400 blood sugar level, he is on drips, and is being given insulin, and so i was just wondering how high is that?? the doctors mentioned something about a coma??
btw, i found out it was 400, but when he got to the hospital it had reached 580!!

I am diabetic for the past 3 years and South Indian aged 37. My Fasting Blood Sugar in Morning is always in the range of 150 – 200. But the Random Sugar level in evening drops down to the range of 100 – 150 with out any medication when tested 6 hrs after a normal south Indian Lunch and sugarless Tea in between. I check the sugar levels at Lab weekly once. My daily diet is Light breakfast, Normal Rice Lunch and Dinner with Chappathi avoiding Sweet items.
