I am diabetic and have decided to check my daughters blood sugar level because she has been a little crankier than normal and has spit up alot the past couple days. She is 7 weeks old tomorrow. I am asking because I know what a normal adult range is, but I also know that a newborn has a lower range than an adult and need to know what the range is at her age now. (And yes, if she gets worse I will take her to the doctor)

i’ve undergone glucose test for checking sugar level in blood (7th month running)they called me today from the lab n said its showing slightly increased levels n wanted to repeat the test 2moro morning(fasting blood sugar).i jus hope it shows normal.however i wanted to know how does that affect baby…is there any danger while delivering the baby also what precautions im supposed to take?..please help!

I am pregnant about 7 weeks they say, and I just started insulin and I was wondering when Blood glucose levels are harmful to my baby. I haven’t had them over 200 lately i have been trying really hard to control them but i am really stressed about my baby.

I’ve had diabetes this entire pregnancy and my levels have been hard to control. Somewhat under control now (still can go higher at some points) and I’m 35 weeks pregnant. All my son’s scans and my blood tests came back normal. They say he *looks* fine and is growing great, but won’t know all the nuerological details until he is born. Has anyone out there HAD or known someone with poorly controlled diabetes in their pregnancy and had a completely healthy, normal, happy baby? This has got me so worried.
