diabetic: my blood sugar level could be 30 – 40 points high when I have to have a bowel movement – normal?
if I have not had a bowel movement in a day or so, and I get the pressure feel, my sugar is elevated. my normal fasting blood sugar is 106 – today it was 145, re-did it was 154. went to the bathroom. 15 minutes later the sugar was 115. could lack of bowel activity raise the sugar?

Yes it could. You have to have a way to let the sugars out of your body so to speak. Kind of like if your sugar is high and you have to urinate, it will lower your sugar. Hope this helps!
