Maybe pre diabetes, but doubtful. If the blood sugar is normal before and after meals, and hourly intervals, you do not have diabetes. Just a sugar high. If your blood sugar is spiking, and not going down fast, that is a sign of diabetes. Takes a while though to determine. See your doc

Fatigue and lightheadedness would be the signs of very high blood sugars if they were diabetes related. You most likely have something else wrong with you. You should go see a doctor, to rule out anything serious.

No you can’t, diabetes is defined as low blood sugar. The fatigue is due to something else. Maybe you are anemic. But I can tell you that eating carbs will give you energy for an hour or so, then a crash. It is like an energy drink. Thats prob why you are feeling that way

There is a second test that is also important. It is a A1c test, and anything above 9 is a concern, 7.0 is the target to be below, but Dr. Barnard suggests that less than 6.0 is considered healthy to him.

He wrote this book, and it has some great diet tips.

you may want to get tested for a gluten allergy. you can try to cut out gluten, wheat etc. for a wee and see how you feel.

there is a type of diabetes thats a result damage/trauma to the pituitary gland. which does not involve blood sugar

I’m sorry bit light-headedness is not a ‘popular’ symptom of diabetes.

Malaise and dizziness can be caused by a lot of things but if your blood sugar is normal throughout as you say, you shouldn’t be suffering from diabetes because if someone is suffering from diabetes but has not been diagnosed and treated yet, their blood glucose level would be higher than normal.

I hope you see the doctor soon and get a formal diagnose and treatment because any illness and condition is best treated or caught early.

    =)
