Blood sugar level – Precautions ?

I am 40 years old healthy male

I have blood sugar fasting – 85 , which falls in the normal range
Last year , it was 70

Shall I assume that it is increasing year after year

Should it be checked once in a year or the frequency should be more

I am taking normal diet .Do I start taking some precautions in diet , so as to keep blood sugar at this level itself

i think you are worrying too much- ‘normal’ is a range which also includes 85 AND 70. As long as you are having a balanced diet and make sure you eat low GI foods such as whole wheat and grains then you should be on the right track.

Well if you have a strong genetic background of diabetes like your mother and father side has like many diabetics then you should watch what you eat. But I think you are doing good at that state. Even diabetics have the privilege of drinking a cup of coke a week. It’s all about management and you are doing great I think.

No need to worry, it’s ok.
You should checked every year, if there are diabetic in your family you should check twice a year.
Manage your life with healthy life-style and do your exercise regularly
    Keep healthy.

It’s normal for fasting levels to vary from day to day, due to variations in activity level and what was eaten within the last several hours. (Large quantities of carbs or protein, or any quantity of fat, can have effects on your blood glucose for more than 8 hours.) Additionally, standard fingerstick-type glucose meters are only accurate to within +/-20 mg/dl – it’s entirely possible that your actual glucose level may have been lower when you tested it at 85 than it was when you got the 70.

There is no reason to assume that it will continue to rise, or even that your average glucose has risen, based on a just a couple point readings, so you have no reason to worry about this.
